Jia Xi Li 李镓汐
Born in 1997

Jia Xi is a Chinese Canadian artist based in London. She makes sculpture, wall pieces, and installations in solidified knitted textile. Her art materialises personal involuntary memory, revealing the complexity of domestic objects mirroring existence, history, and behaviour. Each piece encapsulates an archived time and memory, triggered by emotions and senses, embodying the intangible 'home' of a contemporary urban nomad. Knot by knot, Jia Xi builds a woven carcass from fibre materials that should not stand up.
