TRACE OF ACTION MY DESIGN CONCEPT LOOKS AT HOW THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OBJECTS AND PEOPLE ARE BECOMING ESTRANGED FROM ONE ANOTHER. WHEN AN OBJECT BECOMES SHABBY OR BROKEN, PEOPLE AUTOMATICALLY THINK THAT IT SHOULD BE REPLACED BY SOMETHING NEW. HOWEVER, THIS SHABBINESS IS THE TRACE OF PEOPLE'S ACTIONS. IT RECORDS THE BEHAVIORS AND THE CHARACTERISTICS OF A PERSON. IMPORTANTLY, IT REPRESENTS THE EXISTENCE OF A HUMAN BEING. BY EXAMINING UNINTENTIONAL ACTIONS IN MY DAILY LIFE AT HOME, I AM USING PAPER AND PROCESSES OF WATER WITH FIBER AND KNITS TO RECORD THE TRACE OF MY PERSONAL ACTIONS IN MY COMFORT ZONE. 

Trace of Action: My design concept looks at how the relationship between objects and people are becoming estranged from one another.  When an object becomes shabby or broken, people automatically think that it should be replaced by something new. However, this shabbiness is the trace of people’s actions. It records the behaviours and the characteristics of a human. Importantly, it represents the existence of human being. By examing unintentional actions in my daily life at home, I am using paper and the processes of water with fiber and knits to record the trace of my personal actions in my comfort zone.
